This study covers 1,115 agencies or units across 70 countries – which all together employ about 65,000 specialists (42,000 part of the six major communication groups + 23,000 part of Independents).

With regards to the Interactive resources part of the media agency networks, data have been collected for 26 countries, while we focused on 7 key markets (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy) for advertising and specialists agencies reporting to communications groups and the independents.

RECMA distinguishes 4 families of interactive entities based on the reporting business lines: advertising / specialists / media agencies reporting to communication groups and independents.

Rankings result, on a global scale, from wide inventories and direct inquiries with the participating agencies (240 agencies) and are presented in various hierarchies and in the overall directory. All the data are also available through an Excel database (sorting by agency/unit names, country, owner group, reporting branch and specialty).
